Marram HairHair salonNewcastle

A hair salon for all of inner Newcastle, on Kenrick Street in The Junction: ten minutes or less from the city, the beaches and the inner suburbs.

Kenrick Street, The Junction(02) 5550 3175

Ten minutes from most of Newcastle, and nowhere near a shopping centre car park.

The Junction sits about 2.8 km south-west of Newcastle's city centre, between Merewether, Bar Beach, Cooks Hill and Hamilton South. It's a small suburb with a village feel, named for the coal railway junction that once split here, and it's where most of inner Newcastle comes for a coffee, a bookshop and, increasingly, a haircut. Being here rather than in a centre means you park on a quiet street and walk thirty metres to the door.

From the city and The Hill
2.3 km and about four minutes by car from Newcastle Interchange, and buses run between the city and The Junction through the day.
From the beaches
Bar Beach is two minutes away by car and Merewether four, both close enough to walk over on a Saturday morning.
From the west and south
Hamilton is about five minutes' drive, Adamstown six, New Lambton seven, and Kotara and Charlestown ten.

A Newcastle salon, without the shopping centre

We chose a side street in The Junction because of how people actually get to a hair appointment: they drive in, catch a bus, or walk over from the beach, and they want to park close and walk in without a ticket machine.

From here we look after most of inner Newcastle. The suburbs that book with us most each have their own page below: getting here, parking, and what that part of town tends to book.

What inner Newcastle books

Balayage is our most-booked colour, then cuts, curly cuts, grey blending and extensions. Every price, by stylist level, is on the services and prices page, and you can request a booking in two minutes.
